Outeach Efforts & Health Information

Open Table Nashville

Open Table Nashville is leading the outreach coordination with volunteers starting at 28 degrees F.

If you are approached by outreach workers, please let them know what your needs are. Outreach workers will also canvas areas during late evening hours and assist you with transportation information.

The main locations to go to is Nashville Rescue Mission for sheltering (with late-night access when it is extremely cold) or Room In The Inn's Day Center (Monday through Sunday, 6 am-2pm at 705 Drexel St.) to learn about access to congregations, which due to the COVID-19 pandemic operate with limited capacity.

To volunteer with outreach efforts email winter@opentablenashville.org

Hypothermia

Hypothermia and other cold-weather related injuries can occur when temperatures fall below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

Please stay dry and warm and go into shelters during cold weather.

Read more about specific information on hypothermia and frostbite.

For general information where to go, call 2-1-1.

If you are in an emergency call 9-1-1.

We need more Room In The Inn congregations to help the effort, please email shelter@roomintheinn.org for more information.
